We are hosting our annual Marching Band Festival two weeks from today on Monday, October 9.   This is a great showcase and money maker for our program.   The festival will run from 6:00p until 9:30p. 

We are again asking for you to volunteer your time that evening by helping out in specific areas.   Most volunteer positions begin at 4:30p but times can vary if that is too early for you.


We are also asking that you donate items to be sold at our concession stand.   Donated items will need to be brought to the Concession Stand on Sunday, October 8.  Either between Noon and 1p or between 5p and 6p.


·         Concession Stand Worker (7 needed)

o   Help sell and prepare items in the concession stand.

·         Usher/Crowd Control (4 needed)

o   Stand at the entrances to the Grandstands and prevent spectators from entering the stands while a band in performing.

·         Hospitality Ambassador-Band Room (2 needed)

o   Greet Band Directors as they arrive, help answer questions and be a liaison to Mr. Engelbert.

·         Hospitality Ambassador-Press Box (2 needed)

o   Be our representative in the press box for the judges and MSBOA officials.  Help with their needs as they arise.

·         Merchandise Sales (2 needed)     

o   Sell various items, including “Shout Outs” at the Merchandise Tent.

·         Parking Patrol (4 needed)

o   Be stationed at the entrance to the Bobcean parking lot.  Help direct buses and equipment vehicles to the proper place.  Direct other to main lot.

·         Shout Out Runner (3 needed)

o   Bring “Shout Out” forms from the Merchandise Table to the Press Box Announcer.

·         Ticket Sales (3 needed)

o   Work in the ticket windows and collect admission fees (cash and card) from patrons.

·         Ticket Takers (Hand Stamp Checkers) (4 needed)

o   Stand at the main gate and verify all who are entering that they have their hand stamps or have a wristband.

·         Band Escort (16 needed)

o   Meet your assigned Director in the Band Room, guide them to the warm-up area, then to the gate.  Ensure that they stay are at each place at their designated times.
